Buy a JJ72 Album, Get a Free Concert

Things to do in Times Square… courtesy of an unnamed source- identity withheld for obvious reasons. (You can thank PAUL for the destruction of this link)

Here’s a hot tip for JJ72/Stereophonics fans. Head over to the Virgin Megastore at Union Square and pick up a copy of the JJ72 album for $9.99. What do you get in return? 2 free tickets to their show on February 6 at Irving Plaza, which normally cost $18.50 each! Damn.

Mmmm… pictures at Linky from Sereene.

The Secret Behind Starsailor

Ahem. The Moldy Peaches and The Walkmen and Mink Lungs and Calla at N6, Feb 17.

I’m in heaven. God bless! I’m still looking for a band photography website/ blog from London though… My question about the Gorillaz picture is… which one is the graffiti?

Let’s have a hug. We’re gonna need it after re-reading the infamous “rape his granny” Mogwai interview. Dear lord. Whatever happened to Brian Molko?

For those of you that want to get your hands on that Starsailor “Poormisguided Fool” remix, have no fear- it’s on the CD/DVD which comes out March 18th in the UK.

Also check out the truth behind Starsailor’s A&R Granny… it’s James’s Gran! …. and from the Starsailor message board, someone in Chi-town reports, “They played great. James stopped and said ‘I had a dream last night and it didn’t have The Strokes in it.'” Uhh… yeah. Are all of y’all asking him about The Strokes out there?

Starsailor and Spector

And as I’m sure you’ve heard… Starsailor and Phil Spector, blah blah blah.

I’m sorry for the massive SS overload. It can’t be helped. They’re all over the place.

The D on “Last Call.” Will Carson Daly hit on JB?

Memories, Like the Corner of a Broken Drumstick

A little change of scenery… D-town style, courtesy of a German website, Circonium.

Oh, and James Walsh has girl-hair… I mean in a good way, you know? Oh forget it. Thanks Alyse.

When I read Brad Barrish’s dis on people who wear the band t-shirt to the shows, memories of The Vanderbilt came rushing back toward me… then stabbed me with a broken drumstick. But in reference to the review of the JJ72/Stereophonics outing in LA, JJ’s not that bad… I have Placebo circa Without You I’m Nothing meets Muse Origin of Symmetry moments. Is that good? I’m not sure, but it’s familiar.

The ‘Phonics on the other hand….eeeeeeh…… I’m not one for the JEEP (even though I mysteriously own it… at least I’ve listened to it 3 times? which is more than I can say about Performance & Cock- the infamous ‘Phonics CD I bought in 1999 and didn’t open until Dec 2000… and didn’t listen to until 2001. I think).
