If you don’t want to know what any of the final four’s collections look like, do not proceed after the jump.

On a side note, I happen to be shopping in NoLita on Saturday and stopped by the EMC2 event where Tim Gunn was signing bobbleheads and the Project Runway former cast members were puttering around. The line was respectable around 12:30, but when I walked by about an hour later it was ridiculous! The Bravo cameras were also there filming for who knows what.

Now to rip this year’s fashion show apart…

Now who would have thunk it, but my favorite collections were bad boy Jeffrey‘s and sour puss Laura‘s.

The following three outfits had me drooling all over myself and are the major reason’s why my pick for this season’s best collection is Jeffrey Sebelia…

All the fashion reviews of Spring 2007 are saying unusual use of zippers are a hot trend, and here Jeffrey is riding the crazy zipper train with his white ruffle-collared vest paired with a GORGE silver sequin tank top. Sporty AND sexy. Loves it.

Ok, I just about DIED when I saw this outfit. The green and white striped sateen blazer is so super-sleek 60s mod. Again, love the silver tank, and I <3 the detailing on the skinny pants.

Anyone who knows me knows I love stripes and poofy skirts, so my heart melted when I saw this dress.

Miss Laura Bennett had a great showing, full of elegant eveningwear. It reminded me of Oscar de la Renta–sophisticated, classy, RICH. Most of it was just kinda “eh” for me, but there were some real stunners in the collection:

Like this beautiful black lace beaded number. Very dramatic and lovely. Not something that’s really my style, but would look divine on someone like Cate Blanchett.

One of the big trends for spring is see-through pants, and this fits the bill. I love the optical illusion of the outline of the dress with the pants underneath. However, I do wish a different solution had been found for covering up the dear girl’s nipples. Was there a shortage of nude fabric somewhere?

Uli Herzner was…well…Uli–which meant that I was totally bored with most of the collection. However there was one piece, this silver high-necked mini dress that I thought was stunning. So very Kate Bosworth:

I love the bell sleeves and the detailing at the bottom of the dress.

Now, I love Michael Knight and all–I think that man is SO FLY, but I was just not digging all the shiny bold colored fabric he picked for the majority of his outfits. And lord knows I could never ever wear a lepoard print mini dress.

The collection was very 90s Versace meets Sweetface or something. As sad as I am to say this, Michael’s showing just didn’t do it for me. Sorry, but I’m never ever going to wear a hot pink shortsuit with a criss-cross closure neckline. Nope. Not happening.

Woah nelly! I just about vomited all over myself when the “twist” of this week’s episode was revealed.

Spoilers after the jump… but check this out Project Runway fans:

Tim Gunn in the hhoooouuuuuuussssee!

The reactions on the designer’s faces when it was announced that Vincent and Angela would be allowed to compete again in the next challenge was PRICELESS. Jeffery looked like he was going to punch someone. Hilarious.

Laura finally wins a challenge, which means Vincent and Angela are out. Going with them was Kayne who did a nearly all black dress for a black and white challenge. Sad to see him go, but he totally had to. The last few challenges have been PAINFUL.

Who will make it to the final 3? My guess? Jeffery, Michael, and Laura. Seriously, Uli needs to TURN IT OUT next week or ELSE. NO MORE BOHO DRESSES. Zzzzzzz…

Uli is making me snooze button, seriously, haven’t I seen that high-waisted long dress like a gagillion times before?

And Laura’s dress looked like eveningwear for Olive Oil. Boooo!

Tonight I along with half of lower Manhattan (and a quarter of Long Island and New Jersey) saw MUSE at Hammerstein Ballroom. I’m still totally amazed at how such a TINY little man like Matt Bellamy can command the rapt attention of such a HUGE room.

Muse has a spectacular stage set up, with three large projection screens set behind the band, which used live feeds from cameras positioned in the venue to produce ginormous pictures like Matt Bellamy’s head, but about 30 feet tall.

It was fun when they panned the crowd and you could see all the supersweaty kids waving to themselves. (Was there like NO AIRCONDITIONING THERE OR WHAT?!)

Lots of oldies but goodies like “Time Is Running Out” and the first song that turned me on to Muse, “Plug In Baby”.

“Knights of Cydonia” was one of the encores…

On the way back to the subway Jeff pointed out the Project Runway window at Macy’s, so I had to stop and take a picture:

Awww… Look! It’s the Keith dress. If you listen to Tim Gunn’s podcast, seriously, you’ll get so sad about Keith having to leave. Tim makes it seem like Keith was really bummed out on the show…but he did bring it upon himself.

As promised, someone got kicked off Project Runway tonight independent of elimination.

If you TiVoed it and don’t want to know who got the boot, don’t read anything after the jump!

…and that someone was KEITH! It wasn’t for those rip-off sketches (which according to Tim Gunn, were part of a “look book” of trends and a non-issue), but the totally undramatic finding that he had…*gasp*…pattern making books. Tsk tsk, Keith! In addition to that he apparently went “missing” for a few hours from the production team (another no-no) and used the internet (yet another boo boo). Keith the king of shortcuts and cheats is gone! Gotta say, a little sad to see him go, but rules are rules.

Um and how HILARIOUS is Laura on the show? She’s so mean and blunt and curses more than anyone else. It’s so funny. When Keith got kicked off, she just said something like “What an a**hole!” in her interview. HAhahahahah! She’s the best.

This week’s elimination was hard! I didn’t want to see Robert nor Bonnie leave…but sadly Bonnie had to go.
Just wondering who will get to be the villian of the show now that Angela has redeemed herself momentarily…but if the previews are any indication, she’ll be back to cRRRrraAAAZZZIIIiiies next week! Right on. The challenge? Seems to be model’s choice.

I just happened to think to find out who won Project Catwalk. Since I get burned CDs of the episodes from KF, I don’t really know when the show airs, so I’m a bit behind on this stuff. I haven’t seen the actual last two episodes yet, but now that I know who won, I really want to see it for myself. As you may already know, Mr. Matthew B (of “Project Cuties” fame) was one of the finalists.

But did he win? The spoiler after the jump…

Nope, it was Kirsty Doyle from Liverpool! I thought she was rather adorable, so I’m not completely sad that Matt didn’t win.

Long live the Scouse!

Well I guess since both Danny V and Matty B were 2nd runners up the Project Cuties playing field is even…the war still rages on, but the Brits in the comment section sure do love their Bowkett.

(As you may know, one of the kicked-off designers shows their collection as a decoy in order to conceal the identity of the final three since that episode hasn’t aired yet.)

CHLOE

SANTINO

KARA

DANIEL V

Right off the bat I loved Chloe‘s stuff. There were some stunning pieces in there. I especially loved the gold mini-dress with jacket. I was also really shocked that Santino‘s collection was really subdued–aka, not looking like a Spin Art project. But in order to give his collection the full control-freak Santino spin, he actually sang and produced his own song for his runway collection. Oh if only it had been a full-length version of Timtino doing “Closer”!

However, Kara has got to give up the multi-colored wooley hats, and what the FUNBAG was up with Daniel V’s collection???!?! I really loved some of the pieces Daniel has done for the show so far, but his collection was so snooze bar! The colors were so muted, and besides the white jacket with beautiful collar (which totally reminded me of that gorgeous white Gucci coat from 2003), it seemed like he was totally coasting. Not to mention the resurfacing of the boob-shelf vest that he made poor Chloe wear for the makeover challenge.

Could Daniel’s poor showing be an indicator that he didn’t make it to the final three? Or do you think the un-Santino-like collection is a clear sign that Santino is “aouuuttt“?

Discuss.

Does Heidi Klum have no love for last season’s winner Jay? And why is she getting snippy about getting snippy? More after the jump.

If you’ve read anything about “Project Runway” Season 1 winner Jay McCarroll‘s new show, Project Jay you’d have found out that Heidi asked Jay to design her something for the Emmy Awards, only to make a last minute decision that “leaves Jay crying in his poncho.”

Then I just read an interview Bravo exec Andy did with Heidi where he asks her all about what designers from last year’s show she’s been wearing. She goes on to say that she’s worn some pieces by Kevin Johnn and Kara Saun and that she particularly likes Kara Saun because “she really comes through. She’s business oriented and comes through with what she promises.”

What’s up with no shoutouts for your Jay boy? Hmm…
But the most heart-warming part of the interview was when she keeps complaining about how this season’s contestants were “snippier.” Says Klum, “They got a lot snippier. First season they weren’t as snippy…When Santino called out Michael and was a know-it-all that was upsetting. You don’t talk like that to us, you should be classy and you’ll succeed…Andre’s crying fit was something–so much of their drama is coming through…it makes for great TV but it’s kind of annoying when you are sitting there.”

Ah Heidi, you always know the right things to say. Loves it.
