In case the live blogging of the live tweets wasn’t enough to give you the full “I was almost there” experience, check out these videos of Lily Allen performing at last night’s “secret” Myspace Bowery Ballroom show:
I’m conducting a social experiment. I’ve decided not to head over to Bowery and see Lily Allen… but can I get the full experience of waiting and seeing Lily Allen all via the internets and Twitter?
I think it’s fitting that I be blogging via Twitter. After all, Lily @lilyroseallenis the queen of all social media.
So far I’m getting the full line experience for the show…right from the comfort of my own home!
Fans May Stream Album beginning on February 3rd Before it Hits Stores
MySpace Music, the world’s premiere online music portal, is excited to announce the world exclusive premiere of It’s Not Me, It’s You, the highly anticipated second album from British singer and songwriter Lily Allen.
Starting on February 3rd, MySpace users across the world will be able to stream her new album in its entirety, giving fans a chance to preview it before the official US release on February 10th. It’s Not Me, It’s You can be pre-ordered on Lily’s MySpace page this week and will be available for purchase via MySpace Music on February 10th. In addition to her global album premiere, fans should stay tuned for exciting MySpace news about special performances by Lily Allen.
Thoughts on the latest from this polarizing British pop star?
I’m finding the promo pic a bit trashy, but finding the music more appealing. Sounds like Lily has refined her sound to something a little more sophisticated, although I do miss the overt chavy-ness of her first album, Alright, Still. On the initial listen, liking “Never Gonna Happen” the best.
Ok, so sometimes I’m a bit slow to catch on the things happening on the internets, but I semi-try to keep informed… here are some new music videos that have sprung up in the last week from some notable people who at one time could have been described as “hot messes” or “trainwrecks” but have seem to cleaned up their acts for the time being:
LILY ALLEN
Ultragrrrl linked to a video of Lily Allen’s new song “The Fear.” I think Lily looks AMAZING. With her jet black hair hanging long, and the bangs going across her face, I think she looks like a white Gogo from Kill Bill walking through a Gwen Stefani Harajuku Lovers TV commercial. It was directed by Nez.
According to People: “Lily Allen, checking out the art of musician-turned-painter pal Paul Simonon (of The Clash) during a private viewing at London’s Thomas Williams Fine Art Gallery. The newly blonde singer got a sneak preview of the work – inspired by Simonon’s time in Spain – before it officially opens to the public on April 17. ”
Allen, who was recently dropped as an Orange Prize judge, is said to be dating comedian James Corden, who she met on her chat show “Lily Allen and Friends” last month. Watch the sparks fly:
According to various sources, including NME.com, pop singer Lily Allen has confirmed she has suffered a miscarriage.
Allen’s rep released the following statement: “We can confirm that Lily Allen has suffered a miscarriage. She and her partner Ed Simons will be making no further comment and we ask that their privacy be respected during this difficult time.”
Methinks me spies Photoshops. Y/N? Photoshop or not, Lily does look quite pretty on the cover and the photos inside. Will her BFF Karl Lagerfeld ever put her in a campaign?
In the last few months Lily has slimmed herself down after learning of a heart murmur condition, and she now has stopped smoking and drinking due to her recently announced pregnancy.
