The White Stripes’ Ominous Message Revealed: Limited Edition Cameras
Umm… can anyone explain this peculiar message that just went out on the White Stripes Official Mailing List?
Subject: ?
“The tricks of today are the truths of tomorrow.” – Man Ray X XV MMVII
The code-cracking has already started: X XV MMVII = 10/15/2007… So if anything, we will all find out on Monday.
UPDATE: You guys did some sleuthing, and it appears as though the message was referring to the sale of two limited edition Lomo cameras inspired and customized for Meg and Jack. They go onsale at 12 noon on Monday and the first 333 to buy both sets get a “mystery gift.”

I checked out their website, and clicked the icon that turned into a question mark (which was the subject of the mailing), and on 10/15/07 Meg and Jack cameras are going on sale. The first 333 to buy both sets also receive a mystery gift.
BOOKED: The White Stripes – Diane Martel, director (10.04.07)
artist: The White Stripes
song: “Conquest”
label: Third Man/Warner Bros.
director(s): Diane Martel
production co: HSI
Maybe the cost of these new novelties are however much we want them to be! Go band wagon, go!
Man Ray was an avant-garde photographer so yeah the cryptic message was just about stupid WS cameras.

i’m still really amazed at how closed lipped they’ve remained about the tour cancellation. i thought by now there would be leaks from the outer periphery of the “inner circle” as to what is really going on.
Maybe if you are one of the first 333 people to buy the set of Meg and Jack camera’s you might get the mystery answer to what’s really going on.
I think the answer to what is really going on is that Meg left the band. They don’t have the guts to admit it right now, so they are going to keep it quiet as long as possible and then they’ll announce it right before the new Raconteurs album comes out. Of course, this is all speculation.
first 333 people get to co-star with meg in her next porn.
lolz!
those are cute cameras! ill buy jack!
And the first 333 people get 3 new Jack white DVD’s
1. Jack White in (Jack does Nashville)
2. Jack White in (Ballin the Biscuit, the directors uncut full length version) My strength is 10 fold woman, ohh ohh.
3. Jack White in (Your Sugar never taste so good in Hotel Yorba), Yumm yummm
Jack
III
but meg leaving the band is huge, so surely someone would have leaked it by now if that were the case. it’s unbelievably hard to keep secrets when you’re an act as big as the stripes are.
does —- (#2) mean there is a new video coming out?
An interview with Jack and Meg.

They have been planing this for so long. That symbol you click on has been there for months. I have clicked on it twice everyday just to cheek if anything has come up.
The white Stripes have the best product design of any band out there.
Lomo’s are soo overated. TRUST ME! Go buy a regular point and shoot analog theyre the same.
This is out because that hate digital that much!!!
Hot dang. $180 per set.
there were some issues earlier today with ppl unable to buy the cameras, but it should be fixed now. Yes, you have to buy them separately, so do not look for them in a 2-camera set. put each separately into your cart and fork over 380USD. holy expensive, batman.
oh, it’s 380 b/c it’s 10 bucks S&H each.
and i agree, lomos are SO overrated. although i went to the lomo factory in Vienna about 5 years ago on a BAD tip from a Time Out guidebook, which said it was a whole tourist attraction. Little did we know the directions were to their corporate office. They were nice though and showed us around their offices even though we were interrupting their work day.
“The first 333 to purchase both cameras will receive one of three previously unavailable concert posters designed by Rob Jones.”
It’d be worth it if Jack and Meg came over your crib and rocked the casbah.
haahahah the idea of visiting an office on a vacation to Vienna is really amusing to me. God damn Time Out guides.
