Shock of the Week: Preppy White Guy Likes Vampire Weekend
As I was perusing the most recent newsletter from New York Public Library and saw a profile for “Hudson Morgan, an Associate Editor at Men’s Vogue and a Co-Chair for the 2007 Young Lions Benefit Party.”

Here’s what the Standford University graduate, and former New Republic employee and Lloyd Grove whipping boy, had to say:
As an associate editor at Men’s Vogue, Hudson Morgan covers entertainment, politics, regimen, and fashion, and also writes a regular column called Status Report.
My favorite book is: Goodbye Lemon (2006) by Adam Davies
My favorite movie is: Metropolitan (1990) directed by Whit Stillman
My favorite CD is: Vampire Weekend EP (2007) by Vampire Weekend
Imagine that, a preppy, lit loving dude, who loves wearing ties ALSO loves listening to Vampire Weekend! I never would have guessed it.
You might also recognize Hud from Bravo’s “Tabloid Wars,” which partly chronicaled his dalliance in the gossip world:
