Last week the White Stripes did a very special Live Lounge performance on Radio 1 DJ Jo Whiley’s show. But that cheeky Scott Mills decided he would reveal the reason why Jo Whiley doesn’t like interviewing the White Stripes. It has nothing to do with them as people, or their music (she is in fact a big fan), but it has more to do with an uncomfortable “awareness”.

Seriously, if you’ve watched “Under Blackpool Lights” you’ve had exactly the same “awareness” without even having to go looking for it. It does make one blush to suddenly notice to which side a gentleman dresses. Especially if he’s also playing “Ball and Biscuit” at the time.
