I've been to dozens upon dozens of concerts, including the Stripes, but this was hands down the greatest show I've ever seen. There isn't even a close runner-up. Sure, the standing in line process sucked, but I would do it a thousand times over for another concert as incredible as that. I was among the last people to get tickets (when they were calling in groups of five right at the end, I was in the fifth or sixth group), but dear god, the 4 1/2 hours was completely worth it. They called me in individually, after calling in people by 25, 10, 5, and 2...and when I was inside I heard the lady tell everyone they weren't getting tickets. I could have come later and be safe but everyone who was there were really chill and interesting so I decided that I would rather sit with them and chat then hang at some bar. Laura, if you had come earlier you would have been able to tape the street hockey match that occured. Some of the guys in front brought their sticks and were great entertainment for us all in the wee haunting hours of the evening. It reminded me of Wayne's World because the game would be suspended whenever a cab would come down the street. Game On.... Good stuff...
