Claire Danes Dances Again
In 2005 I went to go see Claire Danes perform a dance piece called “Christina Olson: American Model” at PS 122. Zac Posen was there with flowers. Claire Danes came incredibly close to my face. I was confused.
Now that Danes is no longer a homewrecker (when you are no longer with your homewreck-ee, does that still make you a homewrecker? Like once an alcoholic, always an alcoholic?)–now rid of Billy Crudup–she is free to dance unfettered by gossip. (Ok, not entirely true, gossips say her appropriately named reported beau, Hugh Dancy, swings both ways.) This time with childhood friend Ariel Rogoff Flavin in a piece called “Edith & Jenny” choreographed by Ariel’s mother, Tamar Rogoff.
Performances are January 26- Feb 4. Buy tickets on the PS 122 site.
