Band of the Day: The Blood Arm

January 19, 2007

in band of the day, indie, music, video

NAME: The Blood Arm
HOMETOWN: Los Angeles, California, United States
WEBSITE: http://www.thebloodarm.com/

HOW I HEARD ABOUT THEM: My friend Sarah had one of their songs set as her Myspace page theme song.
LATEST RELEASE: Lie Lover Lie [BUY]
SONG LISTENED TO: “Suspicious Character” [DOWNLOAD the A Faulty Mechanism Remix]
WHAT THEY SOUND LIKE: Holy Franz Ferdinand, Batman! This song is sexy, groovy, and has an incredibly catchy (and simple) chorus of “I like all the girls, and all the girls like me”. I can so see drunk 19-year-olds singing this to each other (fingers pointed appropriately to “girls” and “me”) on a dark dance floor all across Europe. (Not to mention the fact that a tshirt with this phrase splashed across it is pretty fly.) They also love to blog!
1 to 5 RATING: 4
OTHER BLOGS THAT HAVE TALKED ABOUT THEM: The Daily Growl, Gorilla vs. Bear
LISTEN TO MORE: “Stay Put” on the Myspace
