Desperately Seeking Plaid Dress for Fall…
All yestereday I scoured downtown Manhattan in the search for the perfect plaid dress for fall. I found it at TG-170 on the Lower East Side. I love everything about it–the blue check is particularly adorable. Problem was I didn’t look good in it at all.
But that shouldn’t stop you from checking it out. It’s made by Sunshine and Shadow and I think it costs around 250-270 (I forgot the exact price). They just got them at TG-170, and hadn’t even put the price tags on them as of yesterday, so they should still be in stock.
Also on my radar is the Motomimi red plaid dress that was featured in the NY Times this weekend, but I don’t think it’s really my style.
If you have recommendations for the perfect plaid dress, leave ‘em below…

my plan for fall: longjohn tops and leggings/jeans under my slip dresses…no way i’m putting all these dresses away just cuz its chilly out. the right top under your luella and you’re good to go!

Don’t feel bad about that dress not being flattering. It looks like a really unforgiving cut–even that model looks like she has a box-shaped ass!
My plaid plan: fancy version of a long-john top (cream merino wool), red plaid pencil skirt with pleats, tights, and boots.
I love fall, the preppiest of the seasons, because I love scarves and wooly things.

I don’t need a plaid plan: I already have about ten tartan kilts of different styles and sizes my mom brought back from Scotland in the 1960’s. Hooray for being literal (and cheap)!
