So there’s this thing I keep hearing about, something called “the internet.” Then there’s this other really neat sounding thing I also keep hearing about, it’s called “blogs.” I read all about it in Rolling Stone, because they have a new “blog” on the “internet”: Rock and Roll Daily.

All kidding aside, please read it because my friend Lizzie writes a lot of the stuff on there and she’s a genius and the most beautiful rock journo you will ever meet.

As I mentioned yesterday, they’re filming Enchanted in my neighborhood. Actually right on my block, so on the way home tonight I caught Patrick Dempsey, aka “Dr. McDreamy” from Grey’s Anatomy, filming a scene. Looks like plays a daddy, b/c there was an adorable little girl by his side. No Idina sighting. :(

I can STILL hear the crew people yelling at folks on the street. Jeez.

To all bassists: consider yourself warned. From ArcticMonkeys.com:

19.06.06
Andy Nicholson

We are sad to tell everyone that Andy is no longer with the band.

Nick O’Malley, who stood in for Andy while he was absent from the recent tour of North America, shall carry on playing bass for the remaining shows this summer.

We have been mates with Andy for a long time and have been through some amazing things together that no one can take away. We all wish Andy the very best.

Alex, Jamie and Matt.

Hmmm…wonder what happened. Should Andy and former Panic! at the Disco member Bret Wilson start a support group for ousted bassists?

The kids on ONTD are excited about the hotness upgrade.

After much anticipation, the new Strokes video for “You Only Live Once” is available for your viewing RIGHT NOW!

It’s basically The Strokes playing in an all-white room, wearing all white, with mysterious black water coming out of various holes in the wall. Julian DANCES (and looks GREAT btw), and the ending…well…even though it’s a little Britney Spears “Everytime”, I love it!
