This morning Patrick from Fall Out Boy appeared in the Live Lounge on Jo Whiley. Poor little Patrick was the only one in the Maida Vale studio–his bandmates were most likely sleeping off the jet lag or taking promo pictures of their peens. (According to Pete Wentz‘s latest FOB Journal entry, he hasn’t slept in two days can’t get used to the time difference.)
Patrick performed acoustic versions of “Sugar We’re Going Down” as well as doing a cover of Ne-Yo‘s “So Sick”. Personally, I would much rather have heard Patrick do Arctic Monkeys’ “When the Sun Goes Down” or “Crazy” by Gnarls Barkley, but hey, you can’t win ‘em all. Here are MP3s of the sessions:

one day its the raconteurs and the strokes. next day fall out boy, i admit to have stolen a song or two of fall out boy’s on the net. which i should be jailed for on both accounts of stealing it and actually listening to them. but hey i liked new kids on the block! so ive come to terms with my outlandish musical flavors
FOB are alright, but their lyrics dont make much sense. and whats with the name a ‘little less sixteen candles, i lttle more ‘touch me’? sounds like something youd find on a panic! at the disco album….
If you get deported for writing too much about Fall Out Boy, then they’re probably going to send me with you. If enough of us stick together then…well I guess they’ll need a bigger boat :p

Patrick Stump is fine he is so much better lookin than the other 3 lol. i went to see them recently in wolverhampton and they were amazing i think i may just have to meet them lol it would be a dream come true if i got to meet them ;p

I know this is an ancient post, so far as these things go, but I’ve been trying to find an MP3 of the acoustic version of “Sugar” for ages and all the links are expired. I was wondering, if you’ve still got it and it wouldn’t be too much trouble, if you’d be willing to upload it again. Or you could just email it directly (writteninsable@gmail.com).
