[...] Last night I headed over to Rebel, which is *gasp* midtown east, making it my second night in a row in that neighborhood–which is kinda like a nightmare of mine. But I sucked it up in order to see the great Scottish band, The Cinematics, who I have gushed about 10x over on this site. [...]

[...] Some of the most awesome acts playing are my favorite newish Scottish band, The Cinematics, in Glasgow, and Dirty Pretty Things take the stage in Sheffield. The DPT show is already sold out, but you can still buy tickets to The Cinematics for 6 GBP. [...]

[...] Yes, I still cannot get enough of The Cinematics, a band I think that have the strong potential to be the next hot British band. When I’m not listening to “Why Won’t You Give Me Your Love?” I’m listening to their song “Chase”. You can download the song off of Water Cooler Gossip or check out their MySpace profile for a handful of other fantastic songs. [...]

Spread the word!

I saw The Cinematics supporting VHS Or Beta at 93 Feet East in London last year, and thought they were amazing - hopefully big things beckon.

Also on the bill were iForward Russia! (getting lots of praise in the UK right now), it turned out to be one of the best bills I've ever seen.

Excellent photos too! Even if the singer is wearing the same top from the night I saw him - let's just hope it's been washed.

i kinda like Top Chef, but then again I'm the one person that actually watched Miss Seventeen. I'll seriously watch any type of reality show contest. It's kinda sick.

as for pennylane's comment, can you name some bands who ARE doing it better? would love to hear about them...but I don't think there's anything wrong w/ encouraging people to listen to new bands...maybe they're not going to be the biggest band in the world, but there's no harm in supporting emerging artists.
