Bronques and Cobrasnake, originally uploaded by Rocco Kasby.
I guess it’s true what they say…”birds of a feather…see rock shows together.” Check out this photo taken by Rocco Kasby of Merlin “Last Night’s Party” Bronques and Mark “Cobrasnake” Hunter. A friend of mine called this picture a sign of the apocalypse.
I’ve got a good idea. For New Year’s I think Merlin should dress up like Mark and vice versa. Either that or I dress up like one of them and try to take pictures of you drunk showing me your boobs. Kinda like what this girl did for Halloween. Whatdaya think?
Looks like it’s time for another caption writing contest…do your best…or your worst.
Ryan Adams really does wants to know “how much is that doggie in the window?”

I don’t really keep up with stuff like this, but just happened upon this picture of The Shins‘s Marty Crandall and America’s Next Top Model alum, Elyse Sewell, who is currently documenting her travels in Asia as a model on her blog.
Guess this report that Elyse dumped Marty because Marty had cheated on her are…no longer true. Apparently they have reconciled.
The Strokes talk to The Guardian about their return to the music world and their new album. Here are some quotes:
“It was a depth initiated, he [Moretti] says, by a new maturity in Casablancas’s songwriting. ‘Not to dog anything, those two last records they’re like ex-girlfriends who you gotta respect and love because they got you to think the way you’re thinking now. But I think that this new love affair …’ Valensi wades in: ‘Is this your current girlfriend, this album?’ ‘Yeah,’ rejoins Moretti. “This album is my new girlfriend. And she’s not only beautiful but smart. It has a little je ne sais quoi.’”
Fab: “And he [David Khane] always referred to other session musicians who were perfect. Like the drummer from this band called Fishbone. I swear to God, if I ever meet that guy I feel like I should get on my knees and suck his dick ‘cos it was always, ‘If Johnny Fishbone were here he’d be able to do that part in a minute!’ “
