She did the Terminator sequel right after she came off an indie movie w/ Joaquin Phoenix (forget what it's called) that "didn't work" and she was crushed by that and wanted to do something really "conventional." She was cast a day before shooting after another actress was cast and then deemed "too young" for the role. She got the call after just coming back from Australia (poor Ben Lee!!) while in LA. She had planned to go back to NYC after a few days, but guess that never happened... she said she had dropped out just prior to doing Igby Goes Down.
