Claire Danes Is a College Dropout?
Why did I never know that Claire Danes dropped out of Yale after two years? Not that I’m the world’s biggest Claire Danes fan, but I just never realized…I was just listening to this interview on NPR while scanning this article on Claire on CNN where they say she graduated from Yale in 2002, so I guess I’m not the only one.

I heard that she dropped out to do the movie “the Hours” or maybe the Terminator sequel.
she said she had dropped out just prior to doing Igby Goes Down. She did the Terminator sequel right after she came off an indie movie w/ Joaquin Phoenix (forget what it’s called) that “didn’t work” and she was crushed by that and wanted to do something really “conventional.” She was cast a day before shooting after another actress was cast and then deemed “too young” for the role. She got the call after just coming back from Australia (poor Ben Lee!!) while in LA. She had planned to go back to NYC after a few days, but guess that never happened…

So now I know.
Oh and poor Ben Lee nothing.He’s recovered. At this point i think he could run for Prime Minister of Australia and win. He is outrageously popular here.
