I crapped my pants after seeing this phenomenal set of photographs of Jack White (you may have heard of him, he’s in this band called “The White Stripes“) and Jimmy Page (you may have heard of him, he was the guitarist in this band called “LED ZEPPELIN“)! It’s like two forces of nature colliding. The photos were taken while both men were in a Westside Highway studio in September, the same weekend as the White Stripes shows at Keyspan Park. According to the info about the shoot, photographer Ross Halfin was snapping shots of Jack for a magazine cover. PS to the photog- You should have went to the show that night. It was awesome. This weekend I saw Shopgirl since it’s become all to apparent to me that I’m semi-obsessed with Claire Danes for some unknown reason. I thought the movie was good, although kinda slow at points. Jason Schwartzman was pretty funny as the loser suitor trying to win over Claire’s character. The only real problem I had with the film is that all of the characters seem underdeveloped. Actually, Jason’s character seems to be the only one who I understood where he was coming from, and saw a real progression…Thoughts?
On Saturday I dressed up like a bumble bee. Bzzz!

Meg White will once again make her mark with a celluloid project. No, it’s not Coffee and Cigarettes) part 2 (the Tesla coil was unavailable)…Meg will provide the theme music for a swaggering character in the upcoming film You Are Going to Prison. When trying to describe the sound he wanted to create for the character of “Queens” score composer Alan Elliott found himself telling director Bob Odenkirk, “it’s kind of a White Stripe, Meg White kind of thing.” Instead of going into the studio and having another musician recreate the sound, they simply asked Meg to do the piece. Story tip found on the Little Room.
An in honor of Halloween, make your very own Jack- or Meg-o’-lantern.

Could this be the cover of Lindsay Lohan’s new album, A Little More Personal (RAW)? If so, what the heck is that red writing on her back? (UPDATE: Which according to reports means “RAW” in chinese or japanese.) At least this cover is better than her notebook/finger teasing first album cover. Yick!

Why did I never know that Claire Danes dropped out of Yale after two years? Not that I’m the world’s biggest Claire Danes fan, but I just never realized…I was just listening to this interview on NPR while scanning this article on Claire on CNN where they say she graduated from Yale in 2002, so I guess I’m not the only one.
Check out my post about seeing Claire Danes dance.

Breaking news, some rumors have been flying around regarding The White Stripes officially releasing their rockin’ cover of Tegan and Sara’s “Walking with a Ghost.” Well…turns out the rumors are true. Word on the street is the single will be put in stores wrapped with their latest album, Get Behind Me, for a limited time. After that, it will be released with 4 live songs as a single. Expect word from more reliable sources than myself sooner than later.
Who else is psyched?
No more listening to your low-quality bootleg of the Stripes doing the song live…I have the mp3 of “Walking with a Ghost” here for you to download, but make sure to go out and buy the single when it comes out. How else are Jack and Meg going to continue to be able to afford those red, white, and black outfits?
MP3 download: “Walking with a Ghost” by The White Stripes (cover of Tegan and Sara) (Sorry guys, had to take it down. You’re just going to have to shell out some minimal clams to get a listen.)
UPDATE: According to a post on 10/26 on the official Tega and Sara Web site: “The White Stripes have recorded a version of Tegan and Sara’s ‘Walking with a Ghost’ and will be releasing it to radio this week. The track will be available through iTunes on Nov 14 and at US retail as part of a special single release on Dec 6.”
SECOND UPDATE: Ok, you can stream the song right here.

The hilariously morbid covers, insides, and backs for the Stripes upcoming single, “The Denial Twist,” can now be viewed in bigger version on the official White Stripes Web site under “singles.”
