The White Stripes Are Leaking All Over My Internet!
It must be that time of the month, because everything is leaking red and white…as in the White Stripes. Video for “Blue Orchid“–LEAKED! (Although the video DID air for the first time this Sunday…it features a ghost-like redhead strutting around in high-heeled ballerina shoes and posing with a white horse. Weiiirrrrd.) Entire album Get Behind Me Satan–STREAMING LEAK! Various MP3s from the album–LEAKED on MP3 blogs! (And NOT just “My Doorbell“…there are more floating around the Interweb if you know where to look.)
Although I can’t officially condone illegal streams and mp3s, I am excited to hear what everyone thinks of the new album and video. Read what I had to say about Get Behind Me… in April.

Shit, I’ve heard The Nurse, Forever For Her, Little Ghost, My Doorbell, Blue Orchid, and the first minute of all of the other songs and holy guacamole this record is going to be amazing!!! I love the new direction. Good for Jack for trying something new. Also, this is some of Jack’s best songwriting ever. If this record doesn’t establish Jack as one of the best songwriters around right now, then people are either deaf or stupid. His songwriting on his album is phenomenal.

It’s not that bad. Even you don’t like the album, I certainly don’t think it sucks. I know there has got to be at least one song you like.

Back to the video topic…
Yeah, this video is quite weird and somewhat hard to deicpher, although I believe there’s similarities between the “Hotel Yorba” and the “Blue Orchid” videos. Few examples…
*Those redheads look very similar
*Meg is attached to the story
*The house from “Hotel Yorba” could be the same, now creepy, house in “Blue Orchid”

the new video reminds me of “Dead Leaves on the Dirty Ground.” It feels like it’s the neighboring house… what a ‘hood!!

I had the same thought Laura :). Jack must have left Meg at home again.
The Hotle Yorba video was filmed at the Hotle Yorba. The redhead is Tracee from Blanch in the Hotle video but I’m not sure if that’s her in the Blue Orchid video.
I think the video is fall from nobility. Just judging by the white horse and make up.
There is a new message on the white stripe site from Jack. He comments about Meg not having any legs for this video =p.
It is one of the better music videos to come out. I only learned of this ‘album leak’ today but am not shocked by it. It’s not as early as the Elephant one was.
