I have never been happier for one of my friend’s bands than I am at this very moment. This is the most exciting for me because I’ve seen these guys go from just being precocious kids waiting outside Irving Plaza to being the recognized musicians they are today. Not only are they playing Bowery Ballroom, they’re opening up for the super-excellent band The Sights (who were recently on the cover of the Metro Times and just released their video for “Circus“).
