We’ve been so bogged down at work for the last few weeks that we neglected to mention that we saw Sondre Lerche at Maxwell’s in New Jersey on October 20.
In temporary place of a full report, here was the set list:
Track You Down; Days That Are Over; Dead Passengers; You Know So Well; Wet Ground; Living Lounge; It’s Our Job; Modern Nature; Don’t Be Shallow; Virtue and Wine; Two Way Monologue; Reason For (?? Honestly, that’s what we wrote down–not sure what song we meant); On the Tower; Sleep on Needles
Ok, so we said we’d have a big-time reveal today, but due to circumstances beyond our control, we can’t exactly say what’s going on, but we can allude to stuff…
This holiday weekend, there will be two hot parties going down with secret celebrity guests. Now it’s not too hard to figure out who the celebrity guests could be, but it’s a little harder to figure out which party they will be attending, and what they will be doing there. But like we said before, we’re sorry we can’t tell you who and what parties right now, but perhaps on Thursday.
But here’s a party we can tell you about. It’s tonight at Happy Ending (302 Broome Street) from 10pm to 4am:
VISIONS OF THE IMPENDING APOCALYPSE
Invoking unholy DEATH ROCK, GOTH, INDUSTRIAL, and just overall EVIL, will be
these DJ’s of Darkness:
Little Vampire (Nick Zinner / Yeah Yeah Yeahs); Helen Forsdale (Joshua Z. / Prosaics); Death (Alex Chow / Madison Strays); Destruction (Ryan Rayhill); + your host: Sheal Kill You!
John Peel has died at the age of 65 while on working holiday in Peru.
Truly devistating news to all of us who’ve faithfully listened to the Peel program (and its wonderful live Peel Sessions) over the years.
Mr. Peel, you will be missed. Thanks to Joe for letting us know. :*(
UPDATE: More on Mr. Peel.

Photographer Mike Vorrasi is having the opening of his latest show, “Allstars,” at Rubin Chapelle this Friday 7pm-9pm. The show focuses on his documentary work, but you may know him from his rock ‘n’ roll photos, like the cover of the Elefant album.
It’s also his birthday. Shhh, don’t remind him he’s one year closer to death.
So we wrote this whole awesome post about Sienna Miller, and her being this year’s Gretchen Mol, and us still not being able to figure out why she’s sorta famous (other than the fact that she’s doing Jude Law on a nightly basis), and how we used to think that it was 33-year-old Olivia d’Abo in “Keen Eddie,” but really it was Sienna, and how we couldn’t pick Sienna Miller out in a lineup if there was a gun to our head because she looks like any other non-horsey looking British blonde, and how we’re slightly sick by the fact that she’s only 22 years-old and that Jude Law is 9 years her elder (he’s 31) almost to the day (his birthday is on Dec 29, her’s is on Dec 28) and it’s all just a little to Catherine Zeta-Jones/Michael Douglas for our liking.
Then Blogger crapped out and ate it.
Anyway, what we wanted to tell you is that Sienna is on the cover of the November issue of i-D. Thank you.
If we had a dime for every time someone blamed their lip-synching on acid reflux, we’d have…a dime. Papa Simpson speaks out on Ashlee’s SNL snafu.
With Mary-Kate off in La-la Land, Ashley and her posse are now free to try out their “rocker chic” looks. They sported similar looking metal t-shirts at the Vanity Fair in Concert show at Irving Plaza this past Thurdsay.
