Radio Pioneer, John Peel, Dead at 65
John Peel has died at the age of 65 while on working holiday in Peru.
Truly devistating news to all of us who’ve faithfully listened to the Peel program (and its wonderful live Peel Sessions) over the years.
Mr. Peel, you will be missed. Thanks to Joe for letting us know. :*(

i’m glad you acknowledged his passing–i don’t think many americans (of which i am one) really knew about him or appreciated him…but he’s the reason why anyone even knows about so many great bands. it’s a shame. RIP
