INDIE ROCK REARS ITS UGLY HEAD

Eddy was kind enough to send us this article on the O.C., but here’s the important part: “When Fox’s The O.C. returns Nov. 4, look for a new set
and lots of new music. The set will be a club called
The Bait Shop, with a bar and a stage. ‘It’s obviously a tip to the Newport Beach location.
It’s on a dock, and it’s really great-looking,
incredibly authentic,” says music supervisor Alexandra
Patsavas. ‘The characters will be seeing ‘live’
music.’ So far, four acts have been lined up: The Walkmen,
Modest Mouse, The Killers and The Thrills. Each group
will play two songs, although not all of each song
will be shown.”

THE STROKES SHOCKING NEWS

Strokes live album scrapped, but here’s the shocking Strokes news: NICK VALENSI IS STILL WITH AMANDA DE CADENET!!!! From Style.com: “[Jennifer] Nicholson and Amanda de Cadenet showed off their identical white-banded Hermes watches. ‘My boyfriend (Nick Valensi) has one too!’ de Cadenet cooed. Indeed, he did.” Waaahh???

UNRELATED LINKS: White Stripes (Coincidentally, we think we saw this guy shoot the White Stripes for DIW magazine while at a tour stop at Soma in San Diego. If it’s the same photography couple (we remember talking to the guy and asking him why his belt buckle had a date on it, and he was like “that’s the date I married my wife”. And apparently this guy has a wife… but maybe it’s not him. We just know we were in California, and the couple that was shooting them for an independent mag was married. HOME ALONE IN A JAIL CELL

Macaulay Culkin arrested on drug charges. But more interestingly enough, we think Brett Tabisel is from Long Island and used to be in the Broadway musical, “Big”, which was the biggest Great White Way flop in history. He was also in a movie called Strong Island Boys which we were an extra in with a couple of our friends…when we were in high school. And apparently Selma Blair was in it. Awesome.

EWAN McGOREOUS

Hello, we totally love Ewan McGregor and want to have his babies. Well, we guess since he’s married and already has children, we technically don’t want to have his babies nor do we want to break up a marriage, but you know what we mean.

Why this sudden revelation? Well, we’ve always loved Ewan McGregor since his Trainspotting days, but we just saw Young Adam and re-decided that we still totally DO love him. He’s just so dreamy. To use a cliché, he lights up the screen when he’s on-camera. He’s so charismatic it’s insane. He’s so talented and adorable and charming. All men should be like Ewan McGregor…except maybe the married with kids part…and maybe the uncut penis part.

Did we just say too much?
