THE WHITE STRIPES
AT HAMMERSTEIN BALLROOM; APRIL 19, 2003
Jack sang “Fist City” and “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man” with Ms. Loretta Lynn. Ms. Loretta Lynn sang “Rated X” with Jack and Meg. WS set list included (in no particular order), “Dead Leaves on the Dirty Ground,” “Black Math,” “Hardest Button to Button,” “I Want To Be The Boy To Warm Your Mother’s Heart,” “Death Letter,” “Seven Nation Army,” “Ball and a Biscuit,” “I Think I Smell A Rat,” “Hotel Yorba,” “Screwdriver,” “Cold, Cold Night,” “You’re Pretty Good Looking (For A Girl),” “We’re Going To Be Friends.”
They sold the most AMAZING show posters last night. One is a black and white promo shot of Jack in the fringe jumpsuit and Meg in the white dress, and there’s an old black and white of Loretta Lynn on it (and if we’re to believe the numbering system, seems like there are only 100 of them) with the date and location of the show, the other one is kinda like a Ringling Bros. looking, circus thing with elephants on it. They’re totally dope. Watch out Ebay!
LAST WEEKEND, AT THE HOLE: THESE GUYS DANCING
If either one of these dudes is your friend, don’t tell anyone.

Mull Historical Society: An Intimate Acoustic Performance
Buddahead
Marrying the experimental instincts and rich instrumentation of the Beta Band and Flaming Lips with the belting pop sensibility of The Beatles, Colin MacIntyre’s Mull Historical Society found great success with their debut album, Loss, in 2001. Now Colin has returned with another masterpiece, Us, which the NME just called “a joyous slice of orchestral Prozac (8/10)”. This intimate acoustic set will be a treat for fans of skewed pop everywhere.
Doors open at 7:00; Cover is $12. Tickets on-sale now at TicketWeb.com!
