We know it’s not sold out or anything, but we’ve got a ticket to Sahara Hotnights with Ikara Colt/Washdown on the 27th at Bowery. Anyone want to relieve us of it? Like if you were going to go anyway but didn’t buy a ticket yet? E-mail.

No updates are good updates!

We’re kinda glad no one has called us on the fact that we completely have not talked about a number of things that would make a lot of sense for us to talk about:

1. The Stills/ Music show on Friday
2. The Grammys
3. The White Stripes

On The Stills/Music. Yes, we were there during The Stills. Then in an act of God, we were struck down by some kind of inner force and had to retreat out of the venue. If anyone was witness to the thing that we’re talking about that happened right before The Music went on, you understand. Basically, we had food poisoning or some kind of stomach virus so we missed the fun. Blah. Sorry it’s not a more exciting story.

Grammys. What can be said about a televised disaster such as the Grammy Awards? But in all honesty, it wasn’t that bad.

is this too a&f for you?

It’s funny, because when we used to dress up in grungy, inappropriate clothing for school concerts, the teachers used to take us by the ear and tell us we had two options: 1. Go home and change or 2. Don’t perform in the show. Apparently no one wanted to see a Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat medley in actually Technicolor clothing.

So call us old-fashioned, but isn’t it kinda wrong how John Mayer was allowed to do his Abercrombie & Fitch ad meets Men at Work look during an awards show performance? Apparently casual Fridays have made inroads that run deeper than we’ve ever foreseen. Now they give people Grammys for pulling stunts like we did back in the ’90s. That, and blatantly ripping off musical acts that were never very good to begin with. We’re looking for justice.

Hey, at least we know Avril Lavigne isn’t lip-synching. Yikes.

White Stripes. Don’t even start us. Unless you came to help, don’t bother. Thanks.

Remember how we just asked you if we could laugh any harder? Dreams do come true! Check out this weekend’s high-class Sadie Hawkins’ dance! Link from Strokes LJ:

holy clide!
woah! the damage is done. watch out for the elbow blow

To the gentlemen, ascots — fashion yay or nay? Can Valensi pull it off long-term? Or is it just a ladies’ scarf tied ’round neck?

mmmm pie

NME tastes just like chicken. With a face like that, gotta wonder what else has gone in that way.

Chris Martin on Radio 1.

Nothing like us trying to catch up on our gossip in the morning…

From Product Shop NY, Chris and Gwyn news via Rush and Molloy:

MORE EVIDENCE that supposedly-split Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin are still together. The actress was just photographed moving what appeared to be her belongings into the London digs of the Coldplay singer. Paltrow rents a house in town, but sources tell the Daily Star that she’s spending so much time at Martin’s place, she wanted to keep some essentials there …

Hilary Woods has left JJ72. Male fanbase drops 75%. (Thanks Matt!)

Even thought it’s not how it sound (or maybe it is), the fact that there’s a London Sketch Club is pretty amusing.

Tonight on the Grammys, Coldplay with NY Philharmonic Orchestra.

Sorry about this, Juliette Lewis is a fashion disaster.
