Check out Jack White doing a cover of “One Night With You.”

Fucking DOPE-ASS pictures of The Datsuns, The Raveonettes, and The Vinyls over at Underexposed.

Kylie and Ozzy, together at last!

Charlotte Church is obviously drinking again… She tells a Canadian audience “I love being in America.” She meant NORTH America, right? Right.

We just had to state again that The Stills are so pretty.

New issue of trakMARX.

From the NYHappenings mailing list (’cause we’re too lazy to summarize):

Subject: Joe Strummer – live concert vid showing – Mon Dec 30 – NYC

As many of you may know, I filmed Joe Strummer’s series of NYC concerts
earlier in the year. Since his saddening demise a week ago many friends
and fans have written/called asking to see more of the footage than that already
provided at http://punkcast.com/140 – and so I have arranged with Harold
at the Raven Cafe in NYC to run the entire Friday show (which was the overall
best) next Monday night at 9pm prior to the regular Monday session from the
Crazy Baldhead Sound System. The Raven has an excellent sound sytem and multiple
monitors so i’m quite looking forward to it myself.

The Raven Cafe is at 194 Ave A @ East 12th Street NYC (212) 529-4712

More Info: http://www.raven-nyc.com/

PS: a worldwide moment of silence for Joe is scheduled for 2pm GMT
that same day = 9am NYC time Mon Dec 30 – http://www.strummernews.com/

PREVIEW: THE SIGHTS @ MERCURY LOUNGE, DECEMBER 28, 2002

The Sights
The Sights
The Sights
The Sights

The first time we’d seen The Sights was in July of this year… but we’re embarrassed to say the events of that night are very blurry. So we went to see them again and loved them. Just good ol’ fashion rock ‘n’ roll from DE-troit. And we like that.

Apparently people in Detroit like that as well because the Detroit Free Press just listed The Sights on their list of the best of local releases for 2002. Also on the list, a band that loves random shout-outs — The D’s power-pop group supreme, Pas/Cal.
LOOK MA, IT’S DENNIS FROM THE REALISTICS!

Who dat?

Later on at a different location, this dude showed us that “double fisting” beer is soooooooo 2002. Ring in 2003 with the classy “doubled-up single hand” hold. God, the things people will do to get a write-up on this site.

Indie/Jojo has new pictures up of YYYs, Liars, and The Witches. Check ‘em out!

Oooh sexy! Mediaeater <3s Interpol @ the Bowery Ballroom.

We’ve decided Xmas was CRAP, but THE FIRST DAY OF KWANZAA fucking ROCKED!

We’re crying over technology. We love technology. It’s our friend. It makes Julian Casablancas sing out in stereo from our TV.

We know some of you will be so proud… we went into a spankin’ new Apple store today and started crying. Macs are so beautiful. No, freaking GORGEOUS. We started hugging iBooks… for real.

Electronics ARE fashion accessories.
