Make sure to tell em Buddyhead sent you. The password is “$uckin dick$”. The place is (it’s somewhere in the valley we hear… try mapquest): Mates Cargo & Storage – 5412 Cleon Ave L.A., CA 91601″

It’s official! From the Starsailor website:
James to become a dad
Following a surprising amount of interest from fans since the weekend papers, we feel that we need to officially let you know that James Walsh is going to become a father. James and his partner, Lisa, are delighted at the prospect of becoming parents and are looking forward to the birth of their first child. We’re sure you will all join us in sending our congratulations to them both.
Congrats! Aww.
Yowza! Vanity Fair throws a bash for the Old Vic’s Faustus. Mmmm.. I saw it last month. I heart Jonny Lee Miller!
Double yowza! Cardiff got Kylie-riffic! Pop diva! She’s even got her own waterbottle!

Oh holy shit. Last night I downloaded a new version of AOL and my computer went ape shit (thanks a lot, Debbie!). I was so pissed off that my computer wasn’t hooked up to the Internet that I refused to go to the Modest Mouse with The Walkmen show last night. Jen had the misfortune of calling me around that time and she got an earful about me ranting how I hated everything and how I wasn’t going to go anywhere until it was fixed. I think it was a sign from god. Since my computer wasn’t hooked up to the Internet, I actually did my final Shakespeare paper, so maybe it was a good thing. Well… after I wrote a 1, 000 word free-write. I did the paper like 4 hours before it was due. 8 pages of pure… drivel! Now the comp is juiced up, so it’s all good. But daaaaamn. It was a rough 24.
I managed to finish my paper just in time. Dropped it off 15 minutes before it was due! That’s early for me. Usually it’s 2 minutes before it’s due.
Ran back, took a shower and then headed off to a photo shoot for the cover of this magazine we’re putting together for my editing class. Got there right on time! I’m notorious for being late! We all had to wear “I <3 NY" t-shirts. We looked really lame. We got kicked out of the subway by the police, we froze our asses off, tourists took pictures of us and there was no pizza! But everyone had fun, so it was all good.
Oh look- They just fixed the toilet I busted! This day is awesome!

Even though you might not be autistic, there might be some of you out there that actually need detailed instructions on how to ask a girl to the movies.

No No Doubt. Good thing I already saw ‘em. Chi-town too.
White Striping in London… seeing The Breeders.
Review of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs London Camden Monarch show. They also got giggy with Steve Lamacq.
That Warsaw Mooney Suzuki show.

NEIL HALSTEAD @ OTHER MUSIC (IN-STORE)
Neil Halstead is a British singer-songwriter type. You might know his band, Mojave 3. He sings real quiet and real purty. I like that he wears off-white Chucks. Did I mention I’m obsessed with British people named Neil? It’s a long story.

Hm. Boy toy alert- J.T. Leroy, Michael Musto and *special guests* do a reading/signing of The Heart Is Deceitful Above All Things at Barnes and Nobel, Union Square- May 29.
Should be glammy. Thanks to Skeli for the mention.
Greg left me the funniest telephone message, and gets to be the quote of the day, “We’re seeing Ben Lee – I mean Ben Harper- I mean Ben Kweller- I’m getting my Bens mixed up.”

Nick told me about this Jimmy Eat Less/ Arsesailor Music Choice concert. Rock on! Not an edible food left in the house! WoohOO.
Nick didn’t tell me about this interview with the Dirtbomb’s Ben Blackwell off of Glorious Noise (I saw it on Grunnen Rocks), but I couldn’t think of a better segue.
Funny as hell story about Ben Kweller over at Travelers Diagram in which the identity of Kweller’s “strange neighbor/who does have curtains on her windows” is possibly revealed. Either that, or Kweller likes living near people without curtains. (Check out the April 22 entry)

Crazy ass SXSW article also known as the “Starsailor Digression” article. I can attest to the fact that Barry Westhead does not read. Link from Tim.
